"In Prymorske direction at about 18:00 as a result of the mortar shelling of Ukrainian strongpoints near Shyrokine, one of our troops was wounded, and as a result of an enemy provocation with the use of grenade launchers and small arms near Vodiane, one Ukrainian defender was killed. Also, at the end of the day, our positions in the area of Talakivka and Krasnohorivka were mortared by militants. The enemy used twice the weapons installed on an infantry fighting vehicle against the Ukrainian defenders in Chermalyk," the press center reported on Facebook.
In the Luhansk direction, near Novotoshkivske, militants used a 120-mm mortar. Ukrainian fortified positions in the area of Zolote, Troyitske, and Novozvanivka were fired upon from the arms installed on an IFV, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. As a result of one such shelling near Novo-oleksandrivka, another Ukrainian soldier was wounded.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the militants had been blocking the opening of the "Zolote" checkpoint at the contact line. Transport communication between Ukrainian-controlled Luhansk region and its parts occupied by militants is now provided by a single pedestrian checkpoint "Stanytsia Luhanska" at the bridge over the Seversky Donets River.
