Ukraine spots Russian-backed militants' active reconnaissance in Donbas

Russian-backed militants have actively been conducting reconnaissance in Donbas, according to Information Resistance, a non-governmental project on information security.


"The enemy continues actively conducting reconnaissance operations with the use of military, special and electronic intelligence to clarify deployment patterns of the [Ukrainian] Anti-Terrorist Operation forces along the front line, as well as to reveal military facilities in the tactical rear for targeting," head of Information Resistance Group, military analyst and Member of Parliament Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on Facebook.

Russian proxies attack Ukraine 22 times in last dayIn the past week, the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups were most active near the Bakhmutka highway, the Svitlodarska Duha bulge, the towns of Avdiyivka and Horlivka, the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk, and the village of Shyrokyne near the Ukrainian-controlled strategic port city of Mariupol, Information Resistance said.
