Ukraine sees 17 enemy attacks, reports 1 KIA, 2 WIAs in last day
Russia's hybrid military forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 17 times in the past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two troops wounded in action (WIA), according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
Wednesday afternoon, the enemy somewhat increased the attacks in the Luhansk sector.
"In the evening hours, militants fired from a full range of infantry weapons and 82mm mortars on our positions near the village of Krymske. The ATO forces fired back. At about 23:00 Kyiv time, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded in that fighting. In addition, after 18:00 Kyiv time, the occupiers launched eight 120mm mines near the village of Troyitske," the press center said. In the evening, the Russian-backed mercenaries were firing from anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms for almost an hour on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Starohnativka, which is in the Mariupol sector. According to updated data, one soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine was killed and another serviceman was seriously injured yesterday afternoon in an IED blast.
