"Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in action, two were wounded in action and another two suffered combat trauma," the ATO HQ wrote on Facebook on Sunday, November 26.

The Ukrainian army fired back seven times, it said.

"The defenders of the village of Novoluhanske in the Luhansk sector were attacked with 82mm mortars and grenade launchers, while the latter were used to fire at [Ukrainian positions] near the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka. The enemy fired small arms at the defenders of the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska and Krymske," the ATO HQ said.

The use of infantry weapons was a violation of the ceasefire in the vicinity of the town of Avdiyivka. Pairs of enemy snipers were firing on Ukrainian soldiers not far from the village of Verkhniotoretske for several hours during daytime.

Russian proxies also used the weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

"To blame the ATO forces for provocation, they also fired both on their own and Ukrainian troops each after each, using heavy weapons. Our troops' reaction was quick and adequate," the ATO HQ wrote.
