The use of infantry weapons was a violation of the ceasefire in the vicinity of the town of Avdiyivka. Pairs of enemy snipers were firing on Ukrainian soldiers not far from the village of Verkhniotoretske for several hours during daytime.

Russian proxies also used the weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

"To blame the ATO forces for provocation, they also fired both on their own and Ukrainian troops each after each, using heavy weapons. Our troops' reaction was quick and adequate," the ATO HQ wrote.
