Ukrainian soldier wounded in action as militants continue violating Christmas truce
Over the past day, militants violated the ceasefire six times. As a result of one of the enemy shellings, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded, as reported by the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation Headquarters.
"Despite the agreements reached in Minsk on the New Year-Christmas truce, Russian-occupation forces never stopped shelling the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after dark," the report said.
For more than an hour, the enemy fired from 82mm mortars at the positions of the ATO forces near Krymske, launching a total of over 20 mines.
In the Donetsk direction in the evening hours of Sunday, the enemy fired from small arms at the defensive fortifications of the Armed Forces in Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, and from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns - near Kamenka, once again breaching the truce.

As reported earlier, on December 23, militants violated the truce three times. One Ukrainian soldier was killed in action. From midnight on December 23, the previously announced ceasefire was enforced in the ATO zone. The corresponding decision was agreed by the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk on December 20.
