One Ukrainian soldier wounded in Donbas in past day – ATO HQ
One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, as a result of an attack by Russia's hybrid military forces, which violated the ceasefire seven times in the past day, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
"He was rushed to a military hospital where he received medical aid," the ATO HQ said in an update on January 1.
"The past day has proven once again that the Russian occupation troops continue disregarding the agreements on the so-called New Year and Christmas truce," the ATO HQ said.

The enemy used 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near the village of Luhanske in the Luhansk sector. Small arms were used to provoke Ukrainian defenders stationed near the village of Stanytsia Luhanska into firing back.
At night, Russian-backed militants resorted to small arms and grenade launchers to repeatedly fire at Ukrainian defensive fortifications near the village of Verkhniotoretske in the Donetsk sector.
The villages of Hnutove and Shyrokyne in the Mariupol sector came under mortar fire, while grenade launchers and light infantry weapons were used near the village of Vodiane.
As UNIAN reported, a Ukrainian soldier was injured in a booby-trap blast near the village of Krymske in Donbas on December 30.
