One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was injured in a booby-trap blast in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on Thursday, August 13.

"Today, August 13, as a result of a change in the route, two members of the Joint Forces were blown up on an unknown explosive device. Unfortunately, one died, while the other sustained injuries," according to the Defense Ministry's daily report on the situation in the Joint Forces Operation zone.

"The injured was rushed to a hospital, where he is being provided with the necessary medical assistance," it said.

The military prosecutor's office and military law enforcers are working on the scene. All the circumstances of the incident are being clarified, it said.

Meanwhile, no enemy provocations have been recorded in the Joint Forces Operation zone since the beginning of the day.
