One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in action in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past day.

"One member of the Joint Forces was wounded amid enemy shelling," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said in a morning update on May 24.

On May 23, Russia-led forces mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions, using, among others, such proscribed weapons as 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars. The enemy also opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, sniper rifles, and other types of small arms.

Hot spots were the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Hnutove, Kamianka, Staronativka, Verkhniotoretske, Syze, and Krymske.

The Ukrainian military fired back to suppress the hostile attacks.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, Ukraine's Joint Forces on May 23 eliminated four enemy troops and at least seven were wounded.

No ceasefire violations were reported from 00:00 to 07:00 Kyiv time on May 24.
