Russia-led forces on Friday, September 18, violated the ceasefire, having attacked Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane and Novotoshkivske in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters on Facebook in an evening update as of 18:00 Kyiv time on September 18.
"Since the beginning of the current day, armed formations of the Russian Federation have once again violated the agreements reached on July 22, having opened fire on Ukrainian positions," it said. "The enemy used an under-barrel grenade launcher near Vodiane, attempting to challenge our military. Meanwhile, a large-caliber machine gun was used near Novotoshkivske."
Ukrainian troops did not fire back, it added.
No Ukrainian army casualties have been reported.
The full ceasefire was observed along other sections of the contact line in Donbas on Friday.
