Russia-led forces on July 15 mounted 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"On July 15, the Russian Federation's armed formations violated the ceasefire 12 times, using 120mm mortars, which are banned under the Minsk agreements, as well as weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and rifles," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said in a morning update on Facebook on July 16.

Hot spots were the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, the villages of Talakivka, Hnutove, Vodiane, Novoluhanske, Orikhove, and Novotoshkivske.

In particular, Russia-led forces used hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers to lob POM-2 mines into Novoluhanske. One of the unexploded mines was found on an area belonging to a local agricultural enterprise. It will be disposed by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Ukraine's Joint Forces fired back, using available weapons. According to an intelligence update, two enemy troops were eliminated on July 15.

No Ukrainian army casualties were reported over the past day.

From 00:00 to 07:00 Kyiv time on July 16, the enemy did not open fire.
