Trump says it's 'possible' he'll meet Putin this summer

President Donald Trump says that it is possible he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin this summer.

"It's possible," he told reporters outside the White House on Friday, June 15, according to POLITICO.

A meeting between Trump and Putin was raised when the two leaders spoke by phone in April. Earlier this week, a senior director for Europe and Russia on the National Security Council, Richard Hooker, told a Russian news agency that the White House is exploring the idea.

As UNIAN reported, Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov earlier said U.S. President Trump and leaders of other states would be welcome guests at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
