7th round of EU-Ukraine negotiations on new enhanced agreement to be held in Brussels

On March 12-14, 2008 the EU and Ukraine will hold the next, seventh round of the negotiations on the new enhanced agreement (NEA) to replace the expiring Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. The Ukrainian delegation will be led by deputy Foreign Minister Konstantin Yelisieiev, the EU delegation – by the Deputy Director General for External Relations of the European Commission Hugues Mingarelli.
According to the Mission of Ukraine to European Communities, the negotiations will continue in the usual format of the plenary session and the proceedings of three working groups on foreign and security policy, justice and home affairs and economic and sectoral cooperation.
The next, eighth round will take place in early June in Kyiv.
