Ukraine relies on the European Union aid for demarcation of the Transdniestrian area of Ukrainian-Moldovan border. According to the government’s press-office, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed this, speaking at the 12th session of the Cooperation Council between Ukraine and the European Union which took place today in Brussels.

Yulia Tymoshenko reminded that Ukraine is cooperating with the EU Mission on providing aid for solving problems of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. The Prime Minister stated that the Government of Ukraine is ready to provide the EU Mission with access to necessary information and objects, on the assumption of adherence to Ukrainian legislation.

“We hail readiness of the EU Mission experts to join to activity of the Joint Ukrainian-Moldovan Demarcation Commission,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted, adding that Ukraine is able to make an important contribution to the development of common external and security policy. The Head of Ukrainian Government expressed hope for making progress in this issue during Slovenia and France’s EU presidency.
