French President Francois Hollande has said in an interview with the Associated Press that he wants his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to stop supporting insurgents in eastern Ukraine.
Calling for Putin to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Hollande also confirmed that he would visit Astana, Kazakhstan, on January 15 to attend Normandy-format peace talks on Ukraine, Ukraine Today reports.
In Astana, the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France are expected to discuss ways to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
