Russian President Vladimir Putin may not visit Poland for an event marking 70 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp on January 27, reportedly after receiving a diplomatic note rather than an official invitation from Polish officials.

“Upset” with the format of notification, Putin may accept an invitation of his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman, one of his most vocal supporters, to attend a similar event in Prague, although the Czech Jewish community has said it would condemn Putin's presence at the national memorial, Ukraine Today reports.
