"Despite some balance information of the Euronews channel, we regret there is a certain one-sidedness in the flow of news releases about the events of recent days in Ukraine, which are related to the resumption by the Kyiv authorities of a full-scale fighting against the DPR and LPR in violation of all the agreements of a ceasefire, especially the Minsk Protocol and Memorandum of September," the ministry’s statement reads.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also accuses the channel of not reporting civilian casualties resulting from shelling by Ukrainian forces, and the assessment of the OSCE special monitoring mission, which it said had presented new data on the situation in the east of Ukraine.

The ministry also said the channel was biased due to its lack of criticism of Kyiv.

"We are also confused over the fact that the editorial policy of the channel is carried out on the background of Kyiv’s attempts to close the Ukrainian version of Euronews," the statement reads.

As reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has announced plans to stop the broadcasting of the Ukrainian-language version of the international television channel Euronews.
