Russia no longer EU's "strategic partner" – journalist
Brussels reporter for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak has said the European Parliament voted in favor of a report stating that Russia can't be considered "a strategic partner."
"EP has voted in favour of a report stating that Russia can't be considered 'a strategic partner.' An amendment favoured by Greens, S&D & ALDE calling for resumption of [the] EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, which has been suspended since Crimea annexation, failed narrowly," he tweeted on March 12, 2019.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the European Parliament in December called on the governing bodies, EU member states and Ukraine to strengthen cooperation in connection with Russia's possible meddling in the upcoming elections to be held in 2019.
