Sweden to send humanitarian convoys to Ukraine
President Poroshenko announced Sweden's humanitarian assistance.
Ukraine and Sweden have agreed that several humanitarian convoys will be sent to Donbas.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at a joint press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
Poroshenko thanked Lofven for Sweden's support of Ukraine, in particular, for upholding the idea of dispatching an UN peacekeeping mission to Donbas.
"In the issues of maintaining peace, solving the humanitarian disaster, Sweden is always beside us. We've agreed on sending several humanitarian convoys and are very thankful for Sweden's active assistance in both the arrangement of rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians and political and practical support of our state in ensuring de-escalation [in Donbas]," the president emphasized.
