German FM Steinmeier: Ukraine political solution could be 'decades away' (Video)
Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has predicted that it may take decades “or even longer” to find a political solution to the Ukraine conflict despite all of today’s efforts.
And President of the EU Parliament Martin Schultz said during his visit to China that the Minsk-2 ceasefire agreement was the best chance for progress, yet with no guarantees for its further fulfillment, Ukraine Today reports.
As of today, the EU has no unanimous opinion on whether the economic sanctions on Russia set to expire in July should be renewed, as countries like Italy, Hungary and Austria are still hesitant.
