Ukrainian-American talks begin
The sides are scheduled to discuss the points of bilateral cooperation
The talks between Ukrainian and American delegations headed by President Yushchenko and President Bush began in Horodetsky House, Kyiv, according to the President`s press-office.
During the talks sides were scheduled to discuss the points of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the USA in the fields of mutual interest.
The participants from Ukraine are Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodymyr Ohryzko, NSDC Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, Minister of Defense Yuriy Yekhanurov, Presidential Secretariat deputy Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy, first deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodymyr Khandogiy and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oleh Shamshur.
The American delegation includes Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Joe Hagin, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried, Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary Raul F. Yanes, other officials.
