U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice confirms that the American side completely supports the sovereignty and democratic changes in Ukraine, and assures that the USA will keep on supporting these processes.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s press-service, she claimed this today at a meeting with Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko.
The sides also discussed the package of international issues, the political situation in the Eastern Europe, and shared opinions about the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side was represented by Top deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Khandohiy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to USA Oleh Shamshur. The American side was represented by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried and Ambassador of USA to Ukraine William Taylor.
