40 Ukrainians still out of contact in Nepal
A total of 40 Ukrainians have not been in contact since Saturday’s massive earthquake, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the number of citizens who did not contact has decreased. During the last day, 65 people have got in contact, according to Ukrainian officials.
The total number of Ukrainian citizens known to be in Nepal is 196 people.
In the evening of April 29, 20 Ukrainians were transported from remote areas of Nepal affected by the earthquake. They were taken by bus to Kathmandu from Pokhara.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a Ukrainian Il-76 plane landed at 0820 Moscow time at the airport in Delhi for refueling and technical preparations for a flight to Kathmandu.
According to preliminary data, Saturday's quake killed more than 5,500 people, and injured at least 11,000. After the earthquake, about 20 Ukrainians have already left Nepal on Polish and Russian aircraft, as well as by their own means.
