The first case of the novel coronavirus infection was reported in Belarus, local health officials say.
An Iranian citizen who arrived on a flight from Baku, Azerbaijan, on February 22 tested positive after a lab examination on February 27, says the report.
"The patient and those who had got in contact with him were placed in isolated premises of the Minsk Infectious Diseases Hospital. The young man's condition is satisfactory," the health ministry said.
UNIAN memo. The Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan late in December 2019.

The causative agent of the disease was a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19. The virus is transmitted from person to person, with the incubation period lasting at least two weeks.
On January 30, the World Health Organization declared an international emergency over the spread of the novel coronavirus from China.
