Consultations to begin on Ukraine’s NATO plans - Lavrov

Moscow and Kyiv have agreed to begin consultations at an expert level in connection with Ukraine’s intention to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, according to Itar-Tass.

“We have agreed about the consultations, at which experts will state in detail Russia’s concerns and will try to make it so that they are practically taken into consideration by the Ukrainian side,” he said after his talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vladimir Ogryzko in Moscow on Tuesday.
