Yushchenko congratulates Silvio Berlusconi

President Victor Yushchenko held a telephone conversation with the leader of the Forza Italia centre-right party Silvio Berlusconi, according to the President`s press-office.

President Yushchenko greeted Mr. Berlusconi with his political party winning the early parliamentary elections in Italy and expressed hope that Ukraine and Italy would further strengthen their bilateral ties.

Mr. Berlusconi from his part invited Mr. Yushchenko to visit Italy officially before the end of 2008.
