On Monday Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and International Integration Hryhoriy Nemyria held a meeting with EC Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquín Almunia, according to the government’s press-office.
During the meeting topical issues on relations between Ukraine and the European Union have been discussed. In particular, the matter concerned that Ukraine’s accession to the WTO opens new opportunities for stirring up cooperation between the Sides in trade-economic sphere and will promote the creation of a free trade area between Ukraine and the EU.
According the EC Commissioner, it is important for business to the ensure political stability in our state.
The sides have exchanged opinions on preparation for the next Ukraine-EU Summit, hosting Euro-2012, cooperation in the agrarian sector, justice, freedom and security, energy sphere. It was also emphasized the necessity of the soonest introduction of an efficiently new model of the European integration policy coordination of Ukraine.
