Ukraine advocates deepening economic cooperation in the framework of CIS. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced during presiding at an extended session of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States, according to the government’s press-office.
“In its foreign policy, in particular, in cooperation in the framework of the Commonwealth Ukraine advocates active developing of economic relations,” the Head of Ukrainian Government stressed.
Yulia Tymoshenko expressed hope that in the future the CIS Presidency Program which was introduced by Ukraine in its time would become programs of the Commonwealth on the whole.
Yulia Tymoshenko noted that the majority of fundamental suggestions of Ukraine are set out in the concept of CIS development and in the plan of the main measures of its implementation. “And we hope that they we’ll be developed by the following documents of the Commonwealth,” she noted.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is also confident that documents which will be approved today at the Council’s session will promote further deepening of cooperation in the framework of the CIS, economic development of the Commonwealth member states and improvement of the well-being of their citizens.
