It happened in the "conflict zone," but the Georgian Defense Ministry did not specify the exact area. The incident might have happenned in South Ossetia.
"A few minutes later, a Russian military helicopter left the airspace and returned behind the "line of occupation," the Georgian Defense Ministry said.
According to the newspaper, on December 10, the Georgian Foreign Ministry in its statement urged Russia "in response to the unilateral commitments not to use force repeatedly recorded and undertaken by Georgia, to make similar legal obligations."
Thus, the Foreign Ministry commented the next round of the Geneva discussions on security in the Caucasus, held after the war of 2008.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Tbilisi also draws attention to Russia's plans to create a Joint Russian-Abkhazian Group of Forces, which, according to Georgia, "reaffirms the need for the establishment of international security arrangements in the "occupied territories" and the guarantee of non-use of force."
The next round of Geneva talks, where the mediators are Russia, the U.S., UN, EU and OSCE, will take place on March 22-23, 2016.
