President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko said that Ukraine is ready for manifold strengthening of three lateral Lithuania-Poland-Ukrainian parliamentary assembly, the founding meeting of which will take place in Kyiv on Monday. "This is a very important political initiative," Victor Yushchenko stressed, according to the Baltic Course.

Lithuania is ready to share the experience too, obtained while preparing to become the EU and NATO member, Seimas Speaker Ceslovas Jursenas confirmed at the meeting with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko.

 According to him, positive changes are obvious in the Ukrainian domestic and external politics. "We see that Ukraine speedily steps onto the way of euro integration. We are happy that declaration of Bucharest Summit recorded a prospect of Ukrainian membership into the NATO. We see Ukraine as inseparable part of Euro Atlantic community," Jursenas underlined.

 During the meeting with Ukrainian President Yushchenko, with the participation of Polish Chairman of the Senate Bogdan Borusiewicz, it was once again confirmed that Lithuanian and Polish parliaments support Ukrainian aim at integration into the EU and NATO.

 President Yushchenko emphasized that relations between Lithuania and Ukraine were never before so good as in recent years. Consequently, Ukraine may more speedily go along the integration way. According to the president, we want that the EU discussions on the New Strengthening Agreement with the EU would not end with neighborhood policy but assurance of clear Ukrainian membership, while Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty would be guaranteed by membership in the NATO only.

 The aim of the assembly is to implement joint interests: to continue nearing between three countries, strengthen their political, economic and cultural ties in the name of the whole Europe.
