President Yushchenko welcomed in Lisbon by President Silva

In Lisbon, Portugal, President Victor Yushchenko was welcomed by President of the Portuguese Republic Aníbal Cavaco Silva, according to the President`s press-office.

The ceremony began with military orchestra performing anthems of Ukraine and Portugal. After that the official delegations of both states were introduced to each other. From Ukraine participants of the ceremony were Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov, Minister for Education Ivan Vakarchuk, Minister for Culture Vasyl Vovkun, deputy Presidential Secretariat Chief of Stuff Oleksandr Chalyy.

During the ceremony the presidential couples also exchanged memorable presents. After that the two Presidents went in for tête-à-tête meeting.
