Somali pirates set free ship with Ukrainians on board

Somali pirates set free captured German ship “Leman Timber”. There were four Ukrainians on the board.

5 Kanal reports this with reference to information of Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Nina Karpachova.

According to her words, the pirates left the ship after receiving the ransom.

In his turn Speaker of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Vassyl Kyrylych noted that International crisis management headquarters was busy with  releasing of hostages. Representatives of the countries whose citizens were on the board of “Lemann Timber” were in this headquarters. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has not said about the sum of ransom yet.
