Yushchenko spoke with Lech Kaczynski

Victor Yushchenko has called Polish President Lech Kaczynsk, according to the President’s press-office.

Mr. Yushchenko and Mr. Kaczynski, who is unofficially visiting Lviv, discussed the current situation in Ukraine. The Head of State reiterated that last week’s fair and transparent elections confirmed the irreversibility of democratic changes in Ukraine and our country`s strategic course to join the European Union.

The two leaders also spoke about economic cooperation between Ukraine and Poland.
