Ambassador of Ukraine to the Russian Federation Kostyantyn Hryshchenko was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry to discuss the decision of the Ukrainian Security Service to bar the entry to Russian member of parliament Konstantin Zatulin.

The arrest of K.Zatulin is a “blatant demonstration of the unfriendly attitude of Ukraine to a prominent public figure of Russia”, claimed top deputy Foreign Minister of RF Andrey Denisov.

Today the Russian Embassy in Kyiv sent to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine a note concerning the incident. The document expressed a “deep concern of the Russian side about the decision”, and a demand to “immediately provide official explanations about the incident”.
