Black Sea Fleet waiting for political decision of state leadership

The Black Sea fleet of the Russian Federation is ready to help refugees from the South Ossetia.

According to Gazeta.ru, a high official from the fleet HQ disclosed that the fleet has not received as yet any orders from the General Headquarters of the Russian Naval Forces about bringing the troops into a higher state of readiness due to the conflict in the area of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.

“In case if the state leadership makes a political decision, Black Sea fleet ships are ready to put out to guarantee security of the country in the Black Sea region, as well as to help refugees from the South Ossetia’, the official said.
