Bush thanked for Ukraine’s efforts aimed at conflict resolution

President Victor Yushchenko held a telephone conversation with the US President George Bush, according to the President`s press-office.

Main subject sides have dwelled on has been situation around Georgia and settlement of the South Ossetia conflict.

President Yushchenko praised clear-cut and consistent position of the US on principles of settlement of the conflict and protection of Georgia’s territorial integrity.

From his part George Bush thanked Victor Yushchenko for Ukraine’s efforts aimed at conflict resolution and for rendering support to Georgia.

Also both Presidents expressed for need to strengthen Euro-Atlantic partnership within the scope of recent events in Georgia and for effective cooperation in security field.

Separately President Yushchenko thanked President Bush for USA’s help to Ukraine with regard to the storms of July 23-27.
