Ukraine, Latvia speak for multi-lateral peacemaking force in Georgia
The two Presidents held a telephone conversation
President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers speak for necessity of introducing a multi-lateral peacemaking force in the area of the South-Ossetian conflict.
According to the President`s press-office, the two Presidents discussed this issue during a telephone conversation on Friday.
In the course of the conversation, V.Yushchenko and V.Zatlers discussed pressing issues of the bilateral collaboration, including the implementation of the agreements achieved during the state visit of V.Zatlers in Ukraine on June 26-27 of the year 2008.
The two President agreed to continue talks on a peaceful settlement of the situation in Georgia with leaders of other states.
