In London President Victor Yushchenko met with Prime Minister of Great Britain Gordon Brown, according to the President`s press-office.

At the meeting sides have discussed bilateral ties between Ukraine and Great Britain, including trade, economic, investment, energy cooperation, etc. Also a subject of liberalizing visa regulations for Ukrainian citizens willing to travel to the UK has been brought up.

The second block of questions President Yushchenko discussed with Prime Minister Brown included Ukraine-EU cooperation, prospects of European and Euro-Atlantic integration before our country, regional security within the scope of Russian-Georgian conflict, etc.

Separately president thanked to leadership for solidarity with Ukraine in its efforts in international recognition of Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine and in honoring victims of the tragedy.

He also expressed expectancies for high-level representation of the British side at international forum dedicated to commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Famine in Ukraine that is to be held in November in Kyiv.
