Accompanied by Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, First Deputy Premier Andriy Klyuyev, Emergency Minister Viktor Baloha, Energy Yuriy Boyko, Transport Minister Mykola Rudkovsky and deputies Anatoly Kinakh and Eduard Zeynaolv, Victor Yushchenko has gone to Azerbaijan, according to the President’s press-office.

      He will meet with his Azeri colleague, Ilham Aliyev, and members of parliament and government.

      The President is going to discuss ways to forge closer economic and energy ties between the two countries. He is convinced one of such important projects is the construction of a new route to transport Caspian oil from Baku to Plock. 

      Mr. Yushchenko will sign several intergovernmental agreements and other documents.

      The Head of State will also address students and professors of the Slavic University of Baku on Ukraine’s foreign policies.
