President meets Ambassador Taylor
They discussed ways to develop cooperation
Victor Yushchenko has met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, according to the President’s press-office.
They discussed ways to develop energy and anti-corruption cooperation between Ukraine and the United States. Mr. Taylor assured the President his country was ready to work with the new Ukrainian government and added that President Bush was willing to visit Ukraine.
In his turn, Mr. Yushchenko offered sympathy to the Ambassador and the U.S. President on the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
Today, flowers have been laid on behalf of the Ukrainian President on the monument unveiled a year ago to commemorate the tragedy.
