NATO representatives disappointed with Yanukovych’s statement

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk notes that many NATO representatives were disappointed at the yesterday’s statement of Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych that Ukraine is not ready to join the NATO Membership Action Plan.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this, answering questions of journalists during a “hot line” in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“Without exaggerating, I may say that for many in NATO this message was a disappointment, as very many positive things have been done recently in the sphere of Ukraine’s approaching criteria of NATO membership”, the Minister said.
