Ukraine appoints special commissioner to develop relations with Russia
Kyiv moves to improve ties with Moscow
President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, with his decree #1128/2008, appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Russia Kostyantyn Hryshchenko as special commissioner of Ukraine for development of relations with the Russian Federation.
The text of the decree was posted at the official web site of the Ukrainian President.
The decree reads that the special commissioner was appointed for carrying out the foreign policy course towards development of Ukrainian-Russian relations, in line with provision 3 part 1 Article 106 of the Ukrainian Constitution.
