Access granted by Russia and Ukraine for international monitors deployed to assess gas flows has improved, the European Commission said on Tuesday.
"According to our latest information, the situation has improved," said a spokesman for the EU executive, which earlier on Tuesday complained that European monitors were not being given proper access at key sites.
