President meets Georgian FM

President Victor Yushchenko met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze, according to the President`s press-office.

At the meeting sides discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia, particularly preparation to next Energy Summit of 2009, cooperation within the GUAM, etc.

Separately the President and the Minister touched upon regulation of conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, with President Yushchenko assuring that Ukraine supports their peaceful resolution on the basis of respect to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
