Ukraine’s aerial firefighters to help Montenegro contain massive forest fires
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman instructed the State Emergency Service to provide the necessary assistance to the Government of Montenegro and deploy an An-32P firefighter plane to contribute to the efforts on tackling forest fires that have been raging in the country.
The instructions came following a Tuesday’s request for assistance the Ukrainian Government received from the Ministry of the Interior of Montenegro, the Cabinet press service reports.
The assistance is being provided in line with the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of protection against natural and other disasters between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Montenegro, according to the report.
