Prime Minister of Ukraine carried out a working breakfast with members of Japan-Ukraine parliamentary Friendship Association within the frameworks of the working visit to Japan, the Governmental portal reports.
Yulia Tymoshenko thanked participants of the Association for many-years support of Ukraine and participation in many joint projects and outlined the ways of cooperation of two countries in conditions of the financial crisis.
noted that the government of Ukraine made a decision not to lead a dull life in stagnation during the crisis, waiting for its ending, the government made a decision to give impetus to economics by modernization in all spheres of the country.
The head of the Ukrainian government underlined that Kyiv believes that Japan is the best partner in this work, as a state, which takes the first place in the world in development of modern technologies.
In his turn, lawmaker of the Japanese parliament Hakuo Yaginasawa on behalf of the parliamentary Friendship Association expressed a hope that the Japanese state will apply efforts for joint overcoming negative consequences in conditions of the world financial crisis.
The lawmaker also said that Tokyo had been waited for the visit of Yu. Tymoshenko for a long time. “Japanese consider you to be “Ukrainian Zhanna D’Arc”. We respect you for you patriotism”, said Hakuo Yaginasawa.
