Victor Yushchenko has met with Finnish President Tarja Halonen for talks in Helsinki, according to the President`s press-office.

      They spoke about European and home issues, especially how to boost economic cooperation between Ukraine and Finland. They also discussed constitutional reforms in the two countries.

      Mr. Yushchenko invited his colleague to Ukraine.

      At the moment, the two leaders are presiding over Ukrainian-Finnish talks, involving Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, National Bank Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh, Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy, Deputy Head of the European Integration Committee Serhiy Shevchuk, Head of the Innovation and Investment Agency Viktor Ivchenko and Ukreximbank Head of the Board Viktor Kapustin. 

      Mr. Yushchenko and Ms. Halonen are expected to make a statement after the talks.
