The level of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan does not satisfies the potential of two countries and we will spare no effort to increase the turnover volume, Viktor Yanukovych stressed during his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhumabayev, according to the CMU press-service.
The prospects of joint elaboration of oil and gas deposits on the territory of Kazakhstan have been considered, particularly, attraction of the Ukrainian companies to implementation of these projects. According to Amangeldy Zhumabayev, Kazakhstan is also interested to take part in finishing construction of oil pipe line “Odesa-Brody-Plotsk” and to pump it with Caspian oil.
The meeting concerned also an opportunity to increase freight services through the 9th International Transport Corridor and to set up a system of unified transport tariffs between Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan.
