Slovakia supports Ukraine's ambition to enter the EU
Friendship Days took place on Slovak-Ukrainian border
The support to Ukraine in its ambitions to enter the European Union (EU) was expressed by Slovakia`s Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Paska at the traditional Friendship Days - Good Neighbours` Days that took place on Slovak-Ukrainian border in Vysne Nemecke on Saturday, SKToday reported.
According to Paska, this event at the eastern border of Schengen zone is no longer formal, as it was in the past, but entirely natural. "Let`s wish for the process of EU enlargement to continue, so that the ambitions of Ukraine can be fulfilled, of course, after meeting all conditions necessary for entering the EU. Then this meeting wouldn`t take place at the border, but in the free space of the EU," emphasised Paska.
Also in attendance of the event was Ukraine`s Ambassador to Slovakia Inna Ohnivets, and other guests.
