Ukrainian national brutally killed in Poland
A 49-year-old Ukrainian citizen has died of four knife wounds after being assaulted by an unidentified individual in the Polish city of Gdansk, Tvn24.pl reports.
At the same time, the prosecutor's office of Gdansk suspects four Ukrainian citizens in the murder of their compatriot, Head of Department of Consular Support at the Department of Consular Services of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych told UNIAN.
"According to the police of Gdansk, on November 1, 2017, a Ukrainian citizen was killed in Gdansk, who lived in the city," the diplomat said.
"Four Ukrainian citizens who are suspected of killing a compatriot have been detained until the circumstances and causes of this tragic event are clarified. The case is investigated by the Gdansk City Police Commandant's Office," Kyrylych said.
It is reported that the attack occurred at 15:30 on November 1. It is known that the perpetrator approached the victim from behind, struck him four times in the stomach with the knife, and fled.
