Swedish Speaker to pay official visit in Ukraine

Swedish Speaker Per Westerberg will pay the first official visit in Ukraine on May 28-29.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, head of the Foreign Ministry press service Vasyl Kyrylych said this to journalists on Friday.

According to him, on May 28, P.Westerberg is due to meet with Ukraine Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Khandohiy.

On May 29, P.Westerberg will meet with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.

According to V.Kyrylych, the visit will broaden the Ukrainian-Swedish relations and boost the dialogue with the EU member state, which supports Ukraine`s future membership.
